There are actually two types of encoders: linear encoders and rotary encoders. The linear encoders — which we’ll focus on here — read movements along the path of the straight scale. Rotary encoders are used to measure the movements in a rotation. Rotary and linear encoders are similar in how they function but are designed to interpret different movements.
Easson absolute linear encoder use Gold-plated pins to avoid poor connection and Anti-corrosion, it has a small PCB inside the connector which allow the VA series Absolute Linear Scale built in the Laser compensation data and directly connect to our LCD DRO, ensure the high measuring accuracy.
Advanced Optical Measuring System
The slide carrier of the VS / VA series scales, using 5 bearing design and 6 spring for optical grating linear transducer, make sure the VA scales not effected by installation, the spring can adjust the angle when the operator install not good for the alignment.
The reader head still in the best way fit on the grating glass, the accuracy of VA scale is totally different with the GS or other brand in China mainland.
VA scale has a small PCB inside the 9 PIN connector, the laser compensation data is store inside, with our LCD Digital display unit, the compensation data will directly load the ECF file (compensation file) into the DRO, accuracy up to ±2μm.
100% Laser calibration
All linear encoder glass scale are individually inspected and calibrated by our in-house laser interferometer to ensure measuring accuracy comply 100% with the specifications.
